JPN proposal, which I support
Leon
For what it’s worth, here is my recommendations for the club in 2023.  We should have enough funds to support the major tournaments in the coming year (presidents cup, club championship, and points championship.)  As we approach these events the prize money as well as trophies  may need to be reduced a bit to ensure we have sufficient funds for any unknowns.   To this end, I would recommend we have Ed update our yearly schedule using the same schedule as last year with current dates for Monday using 2023 Calendar.  Two rounds a month should be tied to points like last year (600/1000).  One round a month should be a team event based on the discretion of the monthly tournament chair.  Also, I would like to get back to each chair handing over any take home monies at the end of the month.  Every bit helps.  One other recommendation would be to not always decide on an A/B Split on low net rounds.  My recommendation would be to strive for 3 closies and a payout of $20, $15, $10.  That would require at least $60 entry fee money (12 people)  If the handicap system is valid, everyone has an equal chance of winning.  Some would say the higher handicap players have better odds.  If we’re able to get more than 12 people, then splitting to A/B could be possible but price money should not drop more than $15, $10, $5 =$75 on an A/B split. This would require at least 15 players in order to split.  Do we have any consensus on this or other ideas?  What ever, needs  to be decided to get some clarity for the remainder of the year.   If rain or weather interferes with the schedule we do not need to revise but just move on.  Only Club Championship and presidents cup might take some adjustment.  I hope we can get some agreement on this by all.  Thanks

New rule for bare patches

January 25, 2021 (updated 12/26/2022)

Due to the many bare patches on the course, we will allow the ball to be moved off ANY bare patch to the nearest grass, green or brown, except to avoid an obstacle in line of sight or in a stance such as behind or against a tree or to take a bunker, uneven landing area or water out of play. (this rule was never intended to un-punish errant shots, just to compensate for all the unfair bare patches on our course).
The 6” rule applies everywhere else, as before.
